National Student Leadership Academy

The National Student Leadership Academy (NSLA) celebrated its 20th anniversary this year! There were more than 900 in attendance at the annual luncheon held at the Omni Shoreham in Washington DC. For the first time in iJAG’s 17-year history, our student Kameron Houston was selected as one of the luncheon’s keynote speakers. He spoke about his life before JAG and how he is using this experience to catapult his life into one of greatness. He encouraged his peers to take advantage of opportunities through JAG. There was much to celebrate this year including a 94% National JAG graduation rate, doubling the rate JAG students are getting work, tripling the rate they secure full-time jobs, and nearly doubling the rate that they go on to higher education. For the first time in JAG’s history 100% of the 33 State Affiliates achieving the “5 –of-5 National Performance Award”. In the competitions, IJAG student Miavliang earned FIRST place in the public speaking event.
