Arconic Career Expo

Arconic + iJAG Manufacturing Career Expo

On October 20, Arconic hosted more than 200 Quad Cities-area iJAG students for a first-ever Manufacturing Career Expo. The event was held at the Arconic Learning Center with nine different occupations/units represented. Those included skilled trades (Roll Grinders, Machinists, Electricians, Power Truck Repair, General Mechanics), Information Technology, Engineering, Metallurgy and Production.

iJAG students engaged with Arconic leaders through hands-on demonstrations about wearing protective gear, working with industry tools, simulations of occupational tasks, and more! Additional experiences included learning about relevant careers at Arconic, how to apply for those positions, and the educational pathways needed to work in those positions.

Marguerite Tomlinson said, “Arconic has the goal to make this an annual event. iJAG is a great partner to fulfill our needs for a diverse workforce pipeline. The students and our leaders were very engaged at the event and are equally excited to do even more together!”
