Discovering passion and taking action
Terry Liggins is a senior at Clinton High School (CHS) and part of iJAG’s 11/12 program. If you ask Terry, he will tell you that before joining the program, he had no career plans. Now, he has invested in discovering what his passions are and how to pursue them. When asked why Terry loves iJAG at CHS, he said “iJAG feels like a family who cares about me as a person and what my future goals are.”
Terry joined CHS iJAG nearly four years ago as a freshman and he now continues to look forward to coming to class every day to see what new projects, activities, and employer visits are in store for him. In addition to iJAG, Terry participates in football, wrestling, and track. He was proudly part of a state qualifying team during his 2023 season where he ran the 4 x 100 and 4 x 200 medley races. Terry is excited for his final track season, and has set high expectations to return to the state meet yet again this year.
After graduation, Terry will attend Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa where he aspires to earn a track scholarship. He also plans to pursue a career in music production which stems from a passion that began when he was in 7th grade. His iJAG Specialist Tiffany Harris said, “ Terry has been a pleasure to have in iJAG here at Clinton High School and will be missed once he walks the stage at graduation!”
